Turn a job listing into interview talking points
The problem: You have an interview coming up and a job listing full of buzzwords. You need to know what to talk about, and what proof to bring.
Do this
- Paste the job listing. Remove anything with your personal details.
- Add 3–5 lines about your real experience and send the prompt.
- Say each talking point out loud once.
Copy-paste
Here is a job listing:
[PASTE LISTING]
Here is my real experience, in rough notes:
[3–5 LINES: jobs, projects, results]
1) List the 5 things this employer cares about most, in plain words.
2) For each one, write a talking point I could say in 2–3 sentences, using only my experience above. If I have no match, write "gap" and suggest an honest way to address it.
3) List 5 interview questions they're likely to ask.
Don't invent experience, numbers, or job titles.
Done when: You have 5 talking points you could say out loud without reading them.
Tip: Reply “Turn talking point 1 into a 60-second answer: situation, what I did, result.”
