Explain a tech term like I’m 12

The problem: Someone said “cloud storage”, “two-factor”, or “APR”, and you nodded along. Now you actually want to understand it.

Do this

  1. Pick one term you’ve heard but couldn’t explain.
  2. Paste the prompt with the term filled in.
  3. Answer the check question in your own words before you look at the answer.

Copy-paste

Explain [TERM] like I'm 12. - 3 sentences max, no jargon - One everyday analogy - One real example of where I'd run into it - One common mistake or myth about it Then ask me one quick question to check I understood. Put the answer at the very bottom.

Done when: You can explain the term out loud in one sentence.

Tip: Still fuzzy? Reply: “Use a different analogy, something from cooking or sports.”
