Compare 2 or 3 products before you buy (without trusting AI’s one pick)

The problem: You ask AI “which one should I buy?”, it names one brand with total confidence, and you pay without comparing prices or reading a single review. AI can be wrong, out of date, or just guessing, so it should help you compare, not decide for you.

Do this

  1. Pick 2 or 3 options you’re really choosing between. From each product page, copy the name, price, and main specs or features (or the listing text).
  2. Fill in the brackets, paste the prompt, and paste the product details at the bottom.
  3. Read the side-by-side table, check the 2 or 3 things it says to verify on the real product pages and reviews, then decide yourself.

Copy-paste

Help me compare these products before I buy. Don't just pick one for me. Keep it plain and simple. What I need it for: [e.g. "a knee brace for tennis, mild pain after playing"] My budget: [e.g. "under $40"] What matters most to me: [e.g. "comfort, stays in place, easy to wash"] 1) Make a simple side-by-side table of the options below: price, the features that matter for my use, and any downsides. 2) Use only the details I pasted. If something isn't in my details, write "not listed" instead of guessing. 3) Tell me which option fits my needs best and why, and when a different one would be the better choice. 4) List 3 things I should check myself before buying (return policy, size or fit, warranty, real reviews from people with my use). 5) Tell me what to search for in reviews, and what red flags in reviews or the listing should make me skip it. The products I'm comparing: [PASTE NAME, PRICE, AND DETAILS FOR EACH OPTION]

Done when: You have a side-by-side table of your 2 or 3 options, you’ve checked the price, return policy, and a few real reviews yourself, and you’ve picked one (or decided to wait).

Make it better: Ask “What would make you change your answer? Ask me 3 questions about how I’ll use it.” Then ask “Is this a good price, or does this kind of product usually go on sale? Should I wait for a sale like Black Friday?” and check the answer against the store’s price history yourself.

Privacy and caveats: AI doesn’t see live prices or stock, can mix up models, and can sound sure when it’s guessing, so treat its comparison as a checklist, not a verdict. Always check price, return policy, and reviews on the real product page. Be careful with “best product” answers that link you straight to a store, and never pay through a link from an unfamiliar site, text, or email. No personal or payment details are needed for this drill. For health, safety, or big-ticket items, ask a pro (a doctor, pharmacist, or mechanic) too.
